“Through the Emerging Leaders Program, I am encouraged to research post-secondary educational choices and contribute to the community. My grades have improved a lot since I started attending this program.”
~ Emerging Leaders Student
Edu-Futuro’s Emerging Leaders Program: Part I (ELP I) is a 13-workshop program that focuses on leadership development, college preparation, and community involvement for Latino and other immigrant youth (grades 9 through 12) offered 3 times each year (in the fall, spring, and summer). ELP I also has a group mentoring component; students are grouped in “Crews” where they work alongside their peers, as well as with mentors who are young, professional adults who provide valuable advice in areas such as public speaking, goal setting, advocacy, and career planning.
*We are currently in our Spring 2014 session of ELP. Please check back on this website in May for information about the Summer 2014 session which will be in July-August*
