With the understanding that the pipeline for college graduates begins early in life, the Emerging Leaders Program trains Latino parents from elementary school to high school graduation to become advocates for their children’s education. Our parent education courses enable parents to improve communication in the home and strengthen involvement in schools. More than 1,000 parents have benefitted from parent workshops since 2004, positively impacting hundreds of children and youth’s well-being and academic achievement.
